Saoirse Ronan and Benedict Cumberbatch circling Star Wars XII?

Benedict Cumberbatch and Saoirse Ronan look to be involved with Star Wars XII.

It’s interesting because Cumberbatch last teamed with J.J. Abrams on ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’, another space franchise.

This news doesn’t come from Disney, so don’t take this news to heart but its interesting to hear.

Aaron Eckhart to lead ‘Incarnate’.

Aaron Eckhart has been set to lead ‘Incarnate’ a new horror/thriller from Blumhouse Productions.

Ordinarily, i would be looking forward to this, but it is directed by Brad Peyton (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Cats and Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.’) so, yeah this movie might not win oscars.

Regardless, I am a fan of Eckhart and Blumhouse, so i think i will check this one out.

Justice League movie: My Cast

Seeing as though Warner Bros. have confirmed more DC comic movies in the coming years (, i think now is the time to create my ideal cast around Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman.

Batman: Ben Affleck.

I am in the minority when i say that Affleck will make a great Dark Knight, i love his work in ‘The Town’ and ‘Argo’ and i think that he will surprise everyone with his take on the Caped Crusader.

Superman: Henry Cavill.

Having already seen Cavill in ‘Man Of Steel’, we know he can play a great Superman finding out who he is, what we don’t know is that whether he can portray Superman in his prime against Batman. Time will tell.

Wonder Woman: Jaimie Alexander.

Unlike most choices for the role, Alexander has the acting chops to go along with the looks that Adrianne Palicki had in her failed pilot for a Wonder Woman tv show. She has proved herself with ‘Thor’, and looks to have gone one better in ‘Thor: The Dark World. Marvel has her under contract for the time being, but i think Warner Bros needs to take their chances with this great actress sooner rather than later.

Green Lantern: Idris Elba.

I think going the John Stewart route is perhaps better than pursuing Hal Jordan again, after the disaster which was ‘Green Lantern’. Elba is an impressive actor, with lots of experience with action thanks to ‘Pacific Rim’ and ‘Prometheus’. Elba could bring the right calmness and steely determination that John Stewart needs, and would provide an interesting contrast to the otherwise, all white cast.

The Flash: Chris Pine.

Pine would be a fine choice for Barry Allen. He has good comic timing, and can bounce off other characters well, like in ‘Star Trek’ and its sequel. He also has the look, and hasn’t been in a comic-book movie before.

What do you think of my choices? Let me know in the comments!

First photo from ‘Fast & Furious 7’.

Vin Diesel looks intimidating in the 1st photo from James Wan’s ‘Fast & Furious 7’.

Vin Diesel has posted the first photo from his facebook page. It depicts a hulking Diesel in the foreground and a battered Paul Walker in the back.

James Wan directs Diesel, Walker, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez and possibly Kurt Russel in the upcoming installment of the hit franchise.

‘Fast & Furious 7’ arrives on July 11, 2014

‘Insidious Chapter 2’ dominates the box office.

James Wan’s latest horror, ‘Insidious Chapter 2’ has been dominating the box office, pulling in a 41 million dollar opening weekend.

This is the second highest opening weekend in September of all time, just behind ‘Hotel Transylvania’ which racked in 42 million.

I’m glad Wan is finally getting the recognition he deserves, his groundbreaking ‘Saw’, to the stellar ‘Insidious’ and then the amazing horror feat which was ‘The Conjuring’ all deserved the praise they are getting and the box office success of ‘Insidious Chapter 2’ will confirm his directing talents.

I’m sure we can expect ‘Insidious Chapter 3’ within the next two years due to the success of this installment.

I would do a review, but it hasn’t hit a cinema near me 😦

Thoughts on Julianne Moore as Alma Coin in Mockingjay.

Julianne Moore has been cast as Alma coin in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and 2.

Great choice Lionsgate! Moore is an incredible actress and this is the casting choice they needed to make to bolster the weakest story in The Hunger Games books. Moore is perfect for the stubborn and enigmatic coin and will bring a new life to the role. I think she will play greatly of Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss and could create fantastic chemistry between the two.

People were suggesting Sigourney Weaver and Jodie Foster for the role but i think Weaver might have been a little boring and Foster didn’t impress me in Elysium in which she was in a similar role. Moore has been nominated for an Academy Award four times and i think this is the role that might earn her her fifth nomination or even a win.

Fantastic decision from Lionsgate, my hopes have been re-vamped for Mockingjay.

‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’ thoughts.

WB today announced the return of the Harry Potter franchise to the silver screen. J.K Rowling will be writing the screenplay of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’.

I’m unsure of this decision. I loved seven of the eight Harry Potter movies (Half-Blood Prince was tedious), but this seems like a huge cash grab. The book doesn’t really have a great plot and i think Rowling might struggle writing it into a movie. I know they will want to cash in on the franchise’s built in audience and so we can expect little nods the the movies and returning characters.

No Director is yet attached, but i would love them to give this with quite a bit of talent, and not someone like Brett Ratner or John Moore as spin-off movies often do.

I’m glad to have this brand back on the big screen after the epic finale which was Deathly Hallows Part 2. Time will tell whether this movie will live up to the franchise’s lofty standards.
